Full Stack Engineer | Careers at Oasis of Ideas

We're looking for a versatile Full-Stack Engineer to take charge of all aspects of our web app's development.

Example Responsibilities

Implement full-stack features like Search, File Uploads and Authentication
Design and maintain API routes & MongoDB database schemas
Handle server deployment on AWS EC2 instance and client deployment on Vercel
Setup Automated Email Funnels to improve retention
Setup automated testing & logging infrastructure

Required Qualifications

1500+ hours of experience working with full-stack web development technologies (eg: Typescript, NodeJS, AWS EC2, MongoDB, DNS handling, SSL certificates etc).
500+ hours of experience with NextJS, React, and Vercel deployments.
Has independently built and deployed a complex full-stack web app.
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and why they exist.
Available to start around January 20th, 2025.
Based in India or Nepal.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Sentry, PostHog, Anthropic API, prompt engineering, NextAuth, Tailwind CSS, ShadcnUI, Redux, Zod, Resend, AWS SES, Cron Jobs, Docker and other web-related technologies.
Experience building a viral twitter bot.
Accepted contributions to open source projects.

We're an early-stage organisation with about 400 users and some signs of Product-Market Fit. On the one hand, this means that your work here is guaranteed to have a strong impact on the product and, by extension, on the world. On the other hand, this also means that we don't yet have a "team". Most of your work will be independent and overseen directly by the founder. Oasis of Ideas is an online platform for sharing and discovering ideas for products, businesses, games, and other such projects. It aims to bridge the gap between people who have good ideas but don't pursue them and people who are looking for ideas to work on, and thereby help a lot of valuable new projects get executed.
